El crecimiento urbano y la transformaci\u00f3n de antiguas \u00e1reas productivas generaron una modificaci\u00f3n en la demanda de agua, mientras que parte del caudal que circula por los canales tradicionales de riego qued\u00f3 sobredimensionado. En este contexto, el proyecto busca aprovechar ese excedente h\u00eddrico y trasladarlo hacia nuevas \u00e1reas productivas ubicadas en el departamento Capay\u00e1n, fortaleciendo el sistema de riego existente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El ingeniero Alejandro Seco, jefe del Departamento de Obras de Agua de Catamarca, explic\u00f3 los principales aspectos t\u00e9cnicos del proyecto que se ejecuta en conjunto con el Ministerio de Agua, Energ\u00eda y Medio Ambiente. Seg\u00fan detall\u00f3, la obra contempla la construcci\u00f3n de un azud nivelador destinado a la captaci\u00f3n de agua para el riego de las colonias productivas. El recurso ser\u00e1 conducido mediante una tuber\u00eda de 1.400 mil\u00edmetros de di\u00e1metro, que permitir\u00e1 transportar el caudal previsto hacia el sistema de riego.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El acueducto se desarrollar\u00e1 por la margen este del r\u00edo del Valle e incluir\u00e1 las obras de cruce y las defensas necesarias para garantizar su protecci\u00f3n y funcionamiento. El tramo final est\u00e1 proyectado hasta el punto de empalme con el sistema existente, en el sif\u00f3n ubicado sobre la Ruta Nacional 38, desde donde el nuevo caudal ser\u00e1 incorporado al sistema que abastece a las colonias productivas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan los datos de la obra, unas 20.000 hect\u00e1reas del departamento Capay\u00e1n se ver\u00e1n beneficiadas, especialmente aquellas que actualmente contin\u00faan utilizando sistemas de riego tradicional como principal fuente de abastecimiento.
